PAYMENT TERMS
Standard Payment Terms (wedding date more than 1 year from initial booking)
- $500 deposit / booking fee required to lock in dates, then the balance of 25% within the first month.
- The next 50% is due one year out from the wedding.
- The balance of 25% is due one month out from the wedding.
Payment Terms (wedding date less than 1 year from booking)
- $500 deposit / booking fee required to lock in dates, then the balance of 25% within the first month.
- The next 50% is discussed based on timeframe.
- Any final balance is due one month out from the wedding.
Payment Terms (wedding over 2 years from booking)
- $500 deposit / booking fee required to lock in dates, then the balance of 25%, is due 2 years from wedding date.
- The next 50% is due one year out from the wedding.
- The balance of 25% is due one month out from the wedding.
Monthly Payment Plan
We also have monthly payment plans available. So, the initial $500 deposit / booking fee to lock in the dates, the balance of 25% to be paid within the first month, and then monthly payments (payments calculated out on balance due divided by number of months until the wedding). With final balance to be paid in full one month from the wedding.
Bank Details for direct transfer:
You can transfer funds using the bank details detailed on the invoice at NO surcharge.

Credit card payment:
Payment by credit card can be done via your invoice portal.
Important: Credit card payments will incur a 1.4% surcharge on top of the amount you enter below.
You will receive an automatically generated email from the booking system when your payments are due.
Reservation & Payment Policy
To confirm your reservation, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking.
The remaining balance is due 90 days prior to your scheduled arrival.
We accept payments by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, wire transfer, or check.
Once your deposit is received, you’ll receive a booking confirmation with details of your stay and flights to Shulin Lake.
Cancellation Policy
At Shulin Lake Lodge, we understand that plans can change unexpectedly. Because of the preparation and logistics involved in Alaska’s short travel season, the following policies apply:
- Cancellations made within 90 days of your scheduled arrival will result in the forfeiture of the full amount, unless we are able to rebook your dates.
- If your cancelled dates are successfully rebooked, you will receive a full refund of your payment.
- Deposits are non-refundable, as they are used to secure your reservation and cover advance preparations.
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment in the event of unforeseen cancellations, such as weather disruptions, air traffic delays, or mechanical issues.

Weather Delays & Trip Interruptions
Due to our remote, fly-in location, weather can occasionally delay arrivals or departures. Shulin Lake Lodge is not responsible for cancellations or delays caused by weather or mechanical issues affecting flight operations.
If weather prevents access to or from the lodge:
- There is no refund for missed or lost days due to weather.
- Additional days spent at the lodge will be treated as standard lodging days, including all meals and activities, at a cost of $500 per person per day, payable before departure.
- We will provide documentation for your travel insurance provider to assist in reimbursement for travel interruptions.
For your convenience, please schedule any connecting transportation or activities after 3 PM on your departure day to accommodate potential floatplane delays.

Your privacy is important to us. To protect your personal information, we maintain strict data security and never share your information beyond what is required to complete your reservation or order.

We collect the following information for bookings or requests:

- Address
- Email address
- Phone number
- Credit/Debit Card Information
How We Use Information
We use this data only to process reservations, confirm services, and communicate updates related to your booking.
We do not sell, rent, or share personally identifiable information with outside parties except as necessary to complete your transaction.

General Policies
- No Smoking: Smoking is not permitted inside the lodge. A designated outdoor area is available for guests who wish to smoke.
- Children’s Privacy: We do not knowingly collect or store information from individuals under 13 years of age.
- Data Security: We implement appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard your information and prevent unauthorized access.
