To confirm reservations, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required. Upon receipt of booking deposit, you will be sent a confirmation for your reservation. The balance of your reservation is due 60 days prior to arrival date and after that 60 days, cancellations are not accepted and 100% of the booking is considered non-refundable. Because of the work, and costs, involved in the preparation for Alaska's short travel season, there are penalties applied should you need to cancel your trip. Some problems, like bad weather, air traffic delays, and mechanical issues, are hard to predict and often beyond your control. Because of this, we highly recommend you arrange travel insurance in case you need to cancel for an unexpected reason to cover non-refundable deposits. OUR CANCELLATION POLICY IS: 50% of the cost of the booking will be charged when making your reservation. This is considered a non-refundable deposit. 60 days prior to your arrival, the remaining cost of the booking will be due. After the 60 days, the reservation cannot be cancelled and 100% of the cost is non-refundable.
Weather Delays...Shulin Lake Resort Alaskan Adventures and Lodging is not responsible for any delays, extra days at lodge or cancellations due to weather. This includes disruptions to other travel throughout Alaska. Shulin Lake Resort will make every attempt, within safe operating procedures and regulations, to remain on time and not subject guests to substantial delays, lost or extra days at lodge or trip disruptions. Please know weather delays & lost days (outside of our control) do happen. If you have connecting transportation or activities scheduled the same day as your departure from Shulin Lake Resort, we strongly recommend you schedule for 3pm or later. This allows for time in the event floatplanes are delayed due to weather. Although not common, overnight weather delays do occur. Historically, we have 2-3 days each season where guests of Shulin Lake Resort are unable to arrive/depart the resort due to weather. There is no refund for days lost at the resort due to weather preventing planes from accessing our location. Additional days at the resort caused by weather are treated like a normal day at the lodge. All amenities, guided activities, meals, daily housekeeping service are provided. The cost of additional day(s) at the resort is $500/per person and will be collected prior to departure from the resort. Shulin Lake Resort can provide a letter and or invoice to the travel insurance company for proof of travel disruptions in an effort for clients to be reimbursed for lost days or additional days. We strongly recommend all guests purchase trip insurance. Please protect your investment and shop around for the policy that best suits your needs.
No smoking inside the lodge. There will be a specific area outside where smoking is allowed.
